Caff has no server, no account system, and no analytics. The text you import, your library, your reading positions, and your stats live on your iPhone. If you turn on iCloud sync, that data is end-to-end encrypted and shared only with your own Apple devices. We can't see it, and we don't try to.
Caff is an iOS application published by Super Business Tools ("we", "our", "us"). You can reach us at caff@superbusinesstools.com. This policy describes how Caff handles information while you use the app.
The following is created and stored locally on your iPhone:
This information stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us. We do not operate a server that could receive it.
When you import an article from a web address — for example through the Safari share sheet — your device fetches that page directly from the website that hosts it, and extracts the readable text on-device. We do not proxy, route, log, or otherwise see those requests or the addresses you read. The website you fetch from may record the request under its own privacy practices, exactly as it would for any visit.
If you enable iCloud sync, Caff uses Apple's CloudKit to keep your library and progress consistent across devices signed in to the same Apple ID. The data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple, is visible only to your devices, and is not visible to us or to Apple staff. iCloud handling is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can turn sync off in Settings at any time.
Caff is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple may collect information about downloads, purchases, and crash reports under its own terms. If you opt in to share crash logs with developers via iOS Settings, Apple provides us with anonymized diagnostic reports. These reports do not contain the text you read.
If you email us for support, we keep your message and address for as long as we need to respond and maintain our records. We do not use these addresses for marketing, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
Caff is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Because your data lives on your device, you control it directly. You can edit, export, or permanently delete any text and your reading history from within the app. Deleting Caff from your iPhone removes the local database. If you have used iCloud sync, you can additionally remove the data from iCloud in iOS Settings.
If you are in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (such as the GDPR or CCPA), you may contact us to confirm what, if any, information we hold about you, and to request its deletion.
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in-app before the changes take effect. Continued use of Caff after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
